Elevation Kite and Wing Center offers kiteboarding and wing foiling lessons for beginner to advanced riders of all ages. With over 20 years of experience, our lessons run almost all year around with our 2 locations, Nitinat Lake, B.C. and La Ventana, Baja, Mexico. At both locations we provide top of the line equipment from our favorite brands. Using the most advanced teaching techniques, 2 way radio communication and jet skis support for the safest and faster learning. All our lessons are customized to your learning speed and previous experience and include all of the equipment needed.

Our lesson program follows the guidelines set by the International Kiteboarding Organization (IKO). Our school is in its 22nd year of operation with the majority of our instructors with us for over 15 years.

1 Day
Beginner students will start with the ground safety course and finish the day with a body drag. Instruction time is 3.5 hours.

For water ready student’s, there will be a refresher plus 2hour jet ski assisted lessons. Instruction time is 3.5 hours.

2 Days
Day two consists of 3 hours of tandem body drag or 2 hours of jet ski assisted lessons.

3 Days
Day three consists of 2 hours of jet ski assisted lessons or a 2 hour ride along lesson.

This lesson is great for someone who is working on the last step towards independence, upwind riding or for advanced lessons like jumping, transitions, tricks or strapless riding and also to learn how to launch and land safely. The instructor and the student are both out on the water with their own kites, riding. They are able to communicate with two-way radio helmets. The instructor is able to both instruct and demonstrate. It is a 2 hour downwinder to Baja Joe’s. If you are new to us, we recommend scheduling a  jet ski assisted lesson first to make sure that this is the next best step for you. All equipment & transport is included with your Ride Along lessons.

If students are ready for rental after this ride along lesson and would like to get another session afterwards on that same day,  we will happily include a 45% discount on rental.

This lesson is our most popular. The student and the instructor get on the jet ski from the school and drive upwind to our launch spot. About 1.5 miles upwind of the school. The jet ski is anchored and the student and the instructor both go to shore to rig and launch the kite. The instructor will tailor the lesson to the student. All equipment & transport is included with your jet ski assisted lesson as well as 2 way radio helmets.

One on one 

Refresh on the beach or 1 hour water time.

The 1 hour lesson includes the instructor and 2 way communication.

1 Day (This is for the brand new student. All equipment is included with your lessons.) 2.5 hours of private instruction. Share with a friend and take turns in the water.

2 Days
Day two consists of 2 hours of instruction, 1 1.5 mile downwinder with your instructors using radio 2 way radio helmets. All equipment is included with your lessons

3 Days
3 Days  consists of 2 hours of instruction, 1 1.5 mile downwinder with your instructors using radio 2 way radio helmets. All equipment is included with your lessons. 

1.5 miles about 2 hours of instruction

This is for students that have had a couple days of lessons and can enjoy the longer downwinder. If not we recommend you book a 1 hour lesson and do a shorter downwinder. All equipment is included with your lessons.

Start with a tow behind the jet ski foil lesson at 8:30AM. This lesson will bring your foiling skills up and help with learning wing foiling.. We can only teach this early in the day when the water is flat & calm. Perfect activity to schedule if there is no wind for 1 day or 2.

Try out Duotons's new E-Foil set ups. The Foil Cruise is amazing for learning and cruising around the La Ventana Bay on calm mornings. Try the foil assist once a little more experienced.
