Lessons

Our professional and experienced instructors will take you through the learning curve using the latest teaching techniques. Using Watercraft assisted lessons or radio assisted lessons and using the latest gear on the market from North Kiteboarding and Dakine. Our goal is not only to get you up on a board but also to teach you the fundamentals of kiteboarding so you can go practice safely and become an independent kiteboarder.

Our Lesson Plan

  1. Trainer Kite Session
  2. Kiteboarding is 90% kite flying and 10% board skills. The first step to Kiteboarding is to learn how to fly a kite. To do so all you need is a small kite. Spend some time on the trainer kite before your lesson will help you a lot. Do your homework before your lessons and get a head start. Check out the trainer kite on our store.

  3. Ground Session
  4. This is the safety class. You will learn everything about inflatable kites and practice flying one. Learn all about the wind, rigging and all the safety things you need to know before you head into the water. (IKO – International Kiteboarding Organization – calls it “discovery”. It is level 1 on the IKO card.)

  5. Bodydrag Session
  6. lessons03
Time to get wet. This time you are going with a full size inflatable kite. You will work with the wind window, learn and practice different motions with your kite that are later going to be used with the board. Time to have fun with the kite. See how fast you can go in the water. (Intermediate, Level 2 on the IKO card.)

  7. Board Riding Session
  8. lessons05
This is all about board skill. Learn to get up on the board, work on your water-start, riding both way, upwind and turning. At the end of this level you are a full independent kiteboarder. (Independent, Level 3 on the IKO card.)

  9. Advanced Riding Session
